Security Manager

About us

Development and coordination of division-wide security policies and standards in the respective country. Responsible for functional management and people leadership on country level.  Know-how on BCP or Loss prevention Management skills and being effective for implementation.

Responsibilities

- Adapts the global security program to the needs of the respective country organization and directs its implementation by the country management (implementation of DHL Log minimum security standards).

- Exclusive security advisor for country management organization.

This position and the activities involved are very strongly focused on supply chain security, i.e. meeting the business division’s requirements

- Direct line (supervisory role) to the country’s security nominees. Giving guidance and training of security nominees

- Determine organization structure, roles and responsibility and performance targets for the function. Availability of required skills with excellent understanding of business.

- Develop a culture of quality, service excellence (for internal customers), flexibility and cost consciousness. Optimum utilization of resources

- Develop team spirit and multitasking capabilities within the team. Positive “can do” attitude.

- Plan, organise and direct an efficient and effective function. Employee satisfaction

- Develop IKOs/KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance. Influence evidenced throughout organisation.

- Manage the allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff to the achievement of Global, Regional and Country objectives and targets. Employee development.

- Identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department. Succession planning. Employee accountability and performance.

Requirements

1. Bachelor Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or other related field
2. Experience in Logistics Industry minimum 5 years
3. Intermediate level of written and Spoken English
4. Experience in managing the security operations of multi sites
5. Willing to work outside of normal office hours and travel when require
6. Good interpersonal and communication skills and good business acumen with good analytical skills
7. Familiarity with access control, CCTV and Intrusion Detection Alarm System and guard force management
