Free Zone & Trade Compliance Specialist (Manufacturing), Rayong

Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing enterprise. We are seeking a high-caliber Free Zone & Trade Compliance Specialist to oversee daily Free Zone operations, guarantee 100% customs compliance, and optimize import-export workflows. Reporting directly to management, this role acts as the primary gatekeeper for asset movements, stock integrity, and statutory audit readiness across our Free Zone facility.

The Free Zone & Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for directing daily operational workflows within the Free Zone to ensure full compliance with customs legislation, accurate inventory tracking, and seamless Import-Export activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor all material movements into, within, and out of the Free Zone (raw materials, finished goods, machinery, and capital assets).

• Perform thorough verification of Import-Export declarations, shipping documents, and customs clearance paperwork for zero errors.

• Maintain HS Code classifications, duty exemption privileges, and tariff database integrity in system records.

• Conduct periodic physical stock reconciliations against Free Zone system balances to ensure full asset accountability.

• Investigate stock discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement preventive/corrective actions.

• Compile and organize documentation for official Customs Audits, Revenue Department reviews, and Internal Audits.

• Act as the primary liaison with the Thai Customs Department, licensed Customs Brokers, Shipping Agents, and Freight Forwarders.

• Author, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) regarding Free Zone compliance.

• Assign tasks, monitor performance metrics, and mentor operational team members.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Document Accuracy: Zero discrepancies in customs documentation and regulatory filings.

• Stock Precision: High accuracy rate between physical stock/assets and Free Zone ERP balances.

• Audit Performance: Zero penalty findings or major non-conformities during Customs & Internal Audits.

• Operational Flow: Timely clearance of inbound/outbound shipments without customs delays.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, International Business, Supply Chain, or related field.

• Experienced in Free Zone management, customs clearance, or international trade compliance.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical mindset for inventory data, and structured coordination skills.

• Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel) and operational proficiency in ERP (SAP/Oracle) and WMS platforms.

• Professional English proficiency (written and spoken.
