How can you make a difference? 

UNICEF Thailand Country Office (TCO) is seeking qualified individual Creative Design and Artwork Developer consultants with strong creative, conceptual, and technical design skills to provide design services on an as-needed basis. Selected consultants will work closely with the Private Sector Fundraising (PSFR) team members and other relevant stakeholders to develop high-quality visual materials that align with UNICEF's brand guidelines, communication objectives, and fundraising strategies.

Work assignments:

Each year, the Private Sector Fundraising (PSFR) Section of UNICEF Thailand Country Office develops and produces a wide range of fundraising, donor engagement, and communication materials to support resource mobilization efforts and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective donors. These materials are designed to effectively communicate UNICEF's mission, showcase program impact, enhance donor experiences, and inspire continued support for children in Thailand and around the world.

The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the design and production of fundraising campaigns, direct mail appeals, donor stewardship and retention materials, premium gifts, event branding and collateral, banners, brochures, posters, infographics, print advertisements, reports, social media assets, digital advertisements, website visuals, email marketing materials, and other multimedia communication products across both online and offline platforms.

To support these ongoing requirements, UNICEF Thailand is seeking qualified individual Creative Design and Artwork Developer consultants with strong creative, conceptual, and technical design skills to provide design services on an as-needed basis. Selected consultants will work closely with PSFR team members and other relevant stakeholders to develop high-quality visual materials that align with UNICEF's brand guidelines, communication objectives, and fundraising strategies.

The engagement may involve concept development, layout design, illustration, image editing, production artwork, adaptation of existing materials into multiple formats, and preparation of final files for print and digital distribution. Consultants are expected to deliver creative, innovative, and audience-focused solutions while ensuring consistency with UNICEF's visual identity standards and maintaining high-quality production output within agreed timelines.

Work assignment overview and deliverables:

Developing creative concepts, defining and delivering the overall visual direction for fundraising, advocacy, marketing, and communication campaigns across both print and digital platforms, the final outputs including,

Brochures Character designs Landing pages Premium gifts Leaflets Newsletters Posters Postcards Printed advertisements Social media ads Digital banners Other promotional materials.

The consultants will be also responsible for creating visually compelling and audience-centric designs that effectively communicate key messages, strengthen engagement, and support campaign objectives, while ensuring consistency with UNICEF’s brand guidelines and maintaining a cohesive visual identity across all online and offline touchpoints.

Delivery deadline and input days to complete deliverables:

Duration of Contract:   The roster shall be valid for 36 months. The duration will be determined on a need basis and a contract for the consultant will be raised for the period in which he/she is needed.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have… 

Minimum requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Art, Marketing, Communications, Visual Design or related fields. Work Experience: Minimum 5 years in Visual Design, Communication Design, Multimedia Design, or related field Language Requirements: Thai Language

Knowledge/Expertise/Skills: Strong portfolio demonstrating digital media and print media.

Desirables: Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva, and motion design software etc.

Technical Evaluation Criteria:

Minimum 5 years in Visual Design, Communication Design, Multimedia Design, or related field. Strong portfolio demonstrating digital media and print media. Cost-effective and high-quality communication materials. Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva, and motion design software etc.

Qualifying score in technical evaluation is 56 points out of 70 points. Design Work Portfolio is required as part of technical proposal.

Financial Proposal:

The financial proposal of the technically qualified consultants with the justified fee rate will receive the maximum 30 points.

Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures, and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants. Consultants are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws. 

The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
