Technical Support Engineer - Bangkok

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will become part of Gilat Satellite Networks, Tier2 Support in the ASIA region, Providing Services and Support for Gilat products and solutions

REQUIREMENTS

• B.E / B. Electronics / Telecommunication / Communication Engineering/ Computer science
• At least 2 years of experience, working as customer service engineer in customer environment – a Must
• Advanced English leve l - a Must
• Chinese business leve l - an advantage
• Working knowledge in TCP/IP networking (protocols, Sniffer captures and Analysis) – Must
• Experience with networking (routing protocols, configuration and troubleshooting). – Must
• Experience in Linux OS administration – Must
• Cisco certification CCNA (Commands, configuration, routing protocols) – Advantage
• Be familiar in managing virtual machine environments such as KVM, Xen, Hyper-V, VirtualBox, and vSphere – Advantage
• Be familiar with VSATs and Satellite communications - Advantage
• Be familiar with RF equipment and testing tools (RFT, UPLC, ACU, Cables types, Connectors, Spectrum Analyzer, Power meter, etc) - Advantage
• DevOps and scripting languages (e.g. Perl, php, python, Ruby, bash, batch)– Advantage
• Be familiar with container orchestration using Kubernetes - Advantage
• Ability to travel abroad – a Must
• Ability to work during weekends and holidays when necessary
