Summary

An HPS engineer resident at the site, responsible for test readiness on the ground: verifying that stations, fixtures and programs are genuinely ready, evaluating and optimising testers, and troubleshooting through NPI builds at tray level across ICT and functional test. Distinct from the site's production test engineering, which runs released programs at rate.

Detailed Description

• Monitor test readiness on site against the MTRS and TRR criteria, and report the true state to the TRL rather than the comfortable one.
• Evaluate tester and fixture capability: correlation, Gage R&R, cycle time and station-to-station variation.
• Optimise test coverage, sequence and test time against the coverage target without weakening detection.
• Troubleshoot test failures through NPI builds and drive them to root cause within the agreed turnaround.
• Verify parametric data capture, unit traceability and data availability to HPS.
• Support golden unit control, limit control and calibration discipline on site.
• Feed escapes, marginal parameters and fixture issues back to the TRL and the DFT team.
• Support the transfer of a proven test into production test engineering.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

Six to twelve years in test engineering on a manufacturing site across ICT and functional test.

Strong debug instinct and the patience to prove a marginal failure rather than pass it on.

Willing to work through build windows including nights and weekends.

Physical Demands

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. 
• Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
• Occasional travel may be required.

• 6 to 12 years.

Bachelor degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
