Business Development Manager - Hospitality Expansion

About the role

We are looking for a commercially minded and highly proactive Business Development Manager – Hospitality Expansion to identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities for the Group. The primary focus of this role is to find opportunities for business expansion, including new hotel, resort, hostel, restaurant, and hospitality concepts. The successful candidate will research markets, identify potential locations and properties, build relationships with property owners and developers, evaluate opportunities, and work with senior management to determine which opportunities should move forward. This is a business development and expansion role rather than a traditional sales position.

Key responsibilities

• Identify new opportunities for the Group to expand its hospitality portfolio, including potential hotels, resorts, hostels, restaurants, and other hospitality businesses
• Research and identify potential properties, locations, developments, leases, management opportunities, partnerships, and investment opportunities
• Proactively build a pipeline of potential expansion opportunities and monitor new hotel developments, property openings, tourism projects, and market activity
• Conduct research on potential markets and locations, analyzing tourism demand, visitor numbers, competition, accessibility, surrounding developments, and market potential
• Conduct competitor and market analysis and monitor hospitality and tourism trends to identify emerging opportunities
• Conduct preliminary assessments of potential properties and business opportunities, reviewing property size, location, room inventory, facilities, F&B potential, condition, and operational suitability
• Evaluate potential business models including hotel operations, hostel operations, F&B, management contracts, leases, partnerships, and other commercial arrangements
• Prepare business proposals and opportunity presentations for management review and support financial feasibility assessments and initial investment analysis
• Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners, developers, real estate companies, hotel owners, investors, brokers, agents, tourism organizations, hospitality operators, and potential business partners
• Work closely with senior management, Operations, Finance, Commercial, Development, and other relevant departments to coordinate property visits, support negotiations, and assist with transitions of approved opportunities

About you

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hospitality, hotel development, business development, real estate, investment, or a related field
• Hospitality industry experience is strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of hotels, resorts, hostels, F&B, tourism, and hospitality operations
• Experience identifying or developing new business opportunities is highly preferred
• Strong commercial and analytical skills with ability to evaluate locations, properties, markets, and business opportunities
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong understanding of financial and commercial concepts
• Willingness to travel for property visits and market research
• Strong English communication skills
• Knowledge of the Thailand hospitality and tourism market is highly advantageous
