Regional Service Sales Engineer (Utilities System)

Executive recruitment company, Monroe Consulting Group Thailand is recruiting on behalf of a well-established global company providing solutions. We are looking for a Regional Service Sales Engineer to drive service support, inquiry generation, and technical solutions for heavy machinery in power plants across the region.

The Regional Service Sales Engineer will act as the primary technical interface between the company and customers across Thailand. The role focuses on service support, inquiry generation for services, spares & retrofits, troubleshooting, shutdown planning, and O&M training for heavy machinery in power plants.

Job Responsibilities

• Act as the single point of contact for technical support to customers in the assigned region.

• Visit customers for reactive, warranty, and preventive service support, preparing service reports, invoicing, and recommended action plans.

• Support advance shutdown planning, preventive maintenance activities, equipment erection, and commissioning for power plant heavy machinery.

• Troubleshoot technical failures and operational issues on site.

• Generate business leads and inquiries for spares, retrofits, and Plant Improvement Programs, supporting order bookings for spares and retrofit requirements.

• Maintain regular contact with customers to build long-term relationships and develop key accounts in the region.

• Coordinate with Head Office regarding equipment performance and service matters.

• Collect and record field performance data and competitive intelligence on competitor installations.

• Conduct classroom and on-site Operations & Maintenance (O&M) training programs for customer operations and field staff.

Job Requirements

• Academic background in Engineering or related fields.

• Experience in heavy machinery in power plants (sales, operation and maintenance, construction, commissioning, or service).

• Knowledge of industrial heavy machinery, rotating/static equipment, and power plant systems.

• Basic understanding of component functions, materials of construction, and performance parameters.

• Effective communication skills in English.

• Willingness to travel extensively within Thailand and other countries.

• Strong analytical and failure analysis capability with a proactive, service-oriented mindset.
