We’re working with a pioneering medical diagnostics company based in Cambridge, UK, that has developed the world’s first blood test for stroke—a major step forward in acute care diagnostics. Following successful clinical trials, the company is now scaling up for commercial launch, with the goal of making rapid stroke testing available globally.

Founded by scientists from the University of Cambridge, the company is growing quickly and is looking for a motivated scientist to work closely with the Chief Scientific Officer. This is an opportunity to work on a meaningful product with real clinical impact, and to gain exposure across the full IVD development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborator Support: Maintain relationships with research partners and contribute to ongoing clinical studies.
Clinical Coordination: Help manage site documentation and communication for trials.
Regulatory Support: Assist with protocols, technical files, and documentation for IVDR and ISO 13485 compliance.
Assay Validation: Contribute to study design for performance verification (e.g., sensitivity, stability, interference).
Data Analysis & Presentation: Interpret scientific data and contribute to reports and presentations.
Quality & Compliance: Support quality system documentation and assist with internal audits.
Regulatory Monitoring: Stay up to date on regulatory developments affecting diagnostics.
Grant Support: Assist with writing grant proposals and research funding applications.
Project Coordination: Help ensure scientific projects are delivered on time by working across internal teams.

Ideal Profile

PhD in a relevant life sciences field (or MSc with 2+ years in IVD, biotech, or clinical diagnostics).
Understanding of the diagnostic product lifecycle and regulatory environment (IVDR, ISO 13485).
Experience in assay development, validation, or clinical research.
Clear communicator, with the ability to present scientific data to different audiences.
Independent, curious, and proactive, with strong problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working remotely and managing responsibilities across teams and time zones.
Location preference: Spain (not required).
