Pullman Khao Lak Resort (253 keys) is situated on Bang Muang Beach, with a gently sloping white sand beach, turquoise waters of the Andaman Sea and beauty of Khao Sok National Park. It is approximately a 90-minute drive from Phuket International Airport and about 20 km from Khao Lak city center. The architecture of the 5-star hotel resort is Sino Portuguese inspired with handcrafted local materials that celebrate the heritage of Khao Lak. The resort offers well appointed suites and pool villas, a kids club, 2 pools, 2 restaurants and bars.

Job Description

Pullman Khao Lak Resort is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our hotel operations in Khao Lak, Phang Nga, Thailand. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee all aspects of the resort's performance, drive strategic initiatives, and create an exceptional experience for both guests and staff. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen, decisive leadership, resilience and a commitment to operational excellence in the hospitality industry.

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for all resort operations, ensuring alignment with Pullman brand standards and corporate objectives
• Oversee financial performance, including budget development, revenue management, cost control, and P&L accountability
• Manage and motivate a diverse team of department heads and employees, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize occupancy rates, revenue, and guest satisfaction metrics
• Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high service standards and addressing guest concerns with professionalism and efficiency
• Oversee resort maintenance, safety, and compliance with all local regulations and international hospitality standards
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate partners, local community, and tourism organizations
• Analyze market trends and competitive positioning to identify opportunities for business growth and differentiation
• Conduct regular performance reviews and implement employee development programs to enhance team capabilities

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-10 years of progressive management experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 2-5 years in a General Manager or senior leadership role, with resort experience
• Proven track record of successfully managing hotel operations and achieving financial targets
• Strong financial acumen with demonstrated ability to manage budgets and analyze financial statements
• Strong sales acumen to drive business and profitability
• Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests, staff, and stakeholders
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
• Experience working in Thai business culture 
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Thai language is a plus
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
