Job Title: Wellbeing Manager

Job Purpose:

To lead the development, delivery, and continuous enhancement and performance of wellbeing offerings, programs and training of practitioners across the organization, ensuring alignment with brand standards and guest expectations. Supports the creation and implementation of innovative spa & wellbeing concepts, SOPs, that uphold the brand's commitment to wellbeing and excellence.

Key Result Areas:

TRAINING & FACILITATION

• Conduct onboarding training for new Wellbeing Practitioners, Spa Wellbeing Managers in line with Banyan Group's wellbeing philosophy.
• Deliver in-depth training on signature activities and programmes across all the outlets.
• Create, review, and update all training materials, SOPs, manuals, and evaluation tools.
• Coordinate training for visiting Practitioners and ensure alignment with brand standards.

PROGRAMME DEVELOPMENT & IMPLEMENTATION

• Develop new wellbeing programmes and activity ideas for Banyan Group wellbeing brands.
• Provide subject-matter guidance to property teams developing localised programmes.
• Refine activities SOPs to ensure efficacy, safety, and brand alignment.

PROJECTS

• Collaborate on wellbeing facility planning and space utilization for new or evolving properties.
• Prepare compsets for new concepts and programme launches.
• Join project meetings and support task-force assignments during pre-opening or rebranding phases.
• Ensure alignment of facilities and BOL.

WELLBEING OPERATIONS

• Monitor guest feedback and Practitioner performance to maintain high service standards.
• Collaborate with property teams and departments to deliver impactful and brand-aligned wellbeing experiences.

RESEARCH & INNOVATION

• Research global wellness trends, herbs, technologies, and healing methods.
• Lead experiential testing and feedback collection for new wellbeing touchpoints.
• Identify and evaluate wellbeing partnerships, products, and tools that align with the brand's philosophy.
• Explore innovative approaches in holistic therapies, traditional healing practices, digital wellness, and sustainability in wellness.

TEAM DEVELOPMENT & MANAGEMENT

• To provide guidance on Practitioners' job scopes.
• Manage and plan to groom Practitioners for training & development.
• Guide upskilling pathways and internal talent development for practitioners.

MARKETING & PUBLIC RELATIONS

• Collaborate with the Marketing/Marcom team to share updates on wellness activities, success stories, and practitioner highlights from each property.
• Collaborate with property teams on Wellbeing Event Activations such as Global Wellness Day, World Wellness Weekend, seasonal retreats, and wellbeing events.
• Provide wellbeing-related content and creative direction for marketing, branding, and digital platforms.
• Support events, retreats, and special initiatives (e.g., photoshoots, kids' wellness, Beyond content).
• Collaboration with HC on associate wellbeing programme guidelines.

General:

• Provide support to the HOD as needed on ad-hoc wellbeing projects, events, or other related matters.
• Undertake any other assignments and duties as may be required from time to time.
• Protect and preserve the Company's interest, reputation, and image at all times.
• Be fully conversant with all health and safety, fire and emergency procedures.
• Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene, dress, uniform and body language.
• Be polite and professional in any situation where the image or reputation of the company is represented.
• Attend meetings and training as required.
• Ensure that all activities are carried out honestly, ethically and within parameters of applicable law.

Performance Evaluation Criteria:

• Practitioner training and development aligned with the company's core wellbeing concepts and practices.
• Ensure consistent delivery of wellbeing experiences across all properties
• Maintain high guest satisfaction on wellbeing activities, programmes, and practitioner interactions.
• Development & Implementation of Spa & Wellbeing offerings & SOPs
• Flexibility and inter-departmental co-operation.

Key Qualifications:

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a leadership role within wellness, spa, or hospitality, with a strong background in managing wellness programmes, guest services, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Wellness, Hospitality, Health Sciences, Spa Management, or a related field.
• Additional certifications in wellness modalities (e.g., yoga, fitness, mindfulness, nutrition, or body therapies) are highly desirable.
• Background as a wellness practitioner is highly preferred, with hands-on experience delivering treatments, guiding classes, or facilitating wellness activities to ensure practical understanding of guest needs and service delivery.

ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS:

Technical & Professional Skills

• In-depth knowledge of spa operations, best practice, and wellness modalities (e.g., yoga, mindfulness, TCM, bodywork, breathwork, sound healing)
• Skilled in designing and implementing wellbeing programs that align with current trends and guest journey.
• Experience with SOP development, training manuals, and assessment tools.
• Competency in wellness operations, including manning, space planning, and treatment protocols
• Proven ability to design and deliver engaging training programmes, both in-person and digitally
• Ability to guide, mentor, and develop wellness practitioners of varying skill levels

Analytical & Strategic Thinking

• Ability to research and interpret wellness trends and translate them into innovative concepts
• Strong planning and organisational skills, with attention to detail and follow-through

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Able to build rapport with associates, and cross-functional teams in a multicultural environment.
• Excellent English communication skills.
