Project Engineering Manager

Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Engineering Manager to join the team in Thailand on a 12 month contract.

RESPONSIBILITIES

What makes you remarkable?

• Manage and lead competently a large multi-discipline Engineering Team
• Identify and react appropriately to change. Identify risk and implements mitigations
• Be familiar with project work sequence, activities and deliverables for Engineering Disciplines at any project phase
• Ensure the project Quality Management System supports deliverables preparation and method of execution
• Generate and authorize key documents including those directing Engineering strategy and implementation
• Understand and manage the Technical Scope.
• Ensure instructions are issued to allow work to progress. Facilitate agreement between conflicting requirements and leads way forward
• Challenge working method and deliverables. Ensure project team know and comply with project scope
• Develop and manage the engineering input to the project schedule. Drive the Engineering Team to comply with the requirements, meet milestones and Key Performance Indicators, report on progress and willing to be held accountable to senior managers
• Ensure that requirements for Design Verification are identified, scheduled and resourced
• Understand the project Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSES) issues and ensure these are handled correctly
• Be the principal engineering interface between the company and the client in the assigned project
• Implement and manage the work share strategies in a multi centre execution projects

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must hold Bachelor degree in Engineering from one of the following specialisations: Mechanical / Chemical / Instrumentation / Civil & Structural / Electrical, as a minimum
• Has 15 -20 years of experience in one or more of Oil & Gas, Refining or Petrochemical Industry
• Experience in Engineering Coordination and Management involving multidiscipline interface management, change management, Model reviews, work share management
• Have experience in FEED / EPC/ PMC projects
• Must be in Project Engineering or Project Management Roles leading multi discipline Engineering team
• Must have a broad technical knowledge combined with excellent leadership skills
• Must be commercially astute and understand the different approaches required to managing lump sum and reimbursable work
• Have experience predominately in-home office Engineering Management with site experience and managing EPC contractor
• Has sound knowledge and understanding of a Contract
• Able to be assigned to work outside Thailand
